Philips Zoom!® In-Office Teeth Whitening
Professional Whitening with Realistic, Noticeable Results
Philips Zoom! in-office teeth whitening is a professional treatment designed to lighten natural tooth color in a controlled, clinical setting. While many patients see a visible improvement after a single visit, results can vary depending on your starting shade, the type of staining, and individual tooth characteristics.
Book OnlineWhat Is Philips Zoom! Whitening?
Philips Zoom! is an in-office whitening procedure that uses a hydrogen peroxide–based gel activated by a specialized LED light. The treatment works by breaking down stains on the enamel and within the tooth structure.
It can help reduce discoloration caused by factors such as coffee, tea, wine, tobacco use, and natural aging.
What to Expect
Your appointment typically lasts about 45–60 minutes. The process includes:
- Protecting your gums and surrounding soft tissues
- Applying the whitening gel to the teeth
- Activating the gel with a light in timed intervals
- Repeating the process as needed during the visit
Some patients experience temporary tooth sensitivity during or after treatment, which usually resolves on its own.
Understanding Results
Whitening outcomes are not the same for everyone. The degree of improvement depends on:
- The type and severity of staining
- Natural tooth color and enamel thickness
- Consistency with post-treatment care
Some patients may achieve several shades of improvement, while others may notice more subtle changes. In certain cases—such as deep intrinsic staining—alternative or additional cosmetic options may be discussed.
Important Note About Restorations
Whitening treatments only affect natural tooth enamel. Existing dental restorations—including fillings, crowns, veneers, and bonding—will not change color. If you have visible restorations, we’ll review how whitening may affect the overall appearance of your smile and discuss options if shade matching is a concern.
Aftercare and Maintenance
To help maintain your results:
- Limit foods and drinks that can stain teeth, especially in the first 24–48 hours
- Practice consistent brushing and flossing
- Schedule regular dental cleanings
Touch-up treatments or take-home whitening options may be recommended depending on your goals.
